Every Search XR is designed to excel on rough surfaces. Its angles are a little slacker and longer than conventional road bikes, creating a stable ride and built-in stability in varying terrain. The front and rear 12mm thru axles plus an oversized head tube junction, downtube, BB shell and chainstays deliver lateral stiffness for maximum power transfer as well as control through rough terrain. So, the Search XR is stiff and efficient where you need it, but compliant and forgiving enough for all-day rides to wherever!
Every Search XR provides the same ride experience for all riders, regardless of height. To ensure smaller riders the best possible ride without any toe-overlap, the 45.5 and 48cm models are designed around 650b wheels, achieving the same angles and ride as the larger frames. Ample tire clearance for 650B x 2.1” or 700c x 28c-45c tires (up to 42c with full fenders) allows you to fine-tune the Search XR even further based on terrain and personal preference.
